I have been hearing about this book several times. Once from my classmate, then from my professor and then finally saw this book in the library. Been studying already two months with library coy and finally bought it!The best thing in this book is that it doe not overwhelm you with unnecessary information, all straight to the point. Providing you with a concepts, secrets and tips you need to save time on exam and how properly approach hard questions. Love it because:+ online system is amazing additional source to boost your knowledge+ great lectures and video explanations+ tutoring sessions are super helpful+ tests in the book mimics real exams (I know as this is a second time i will take it 😉 )+ great customer support+ detailed answer explanations+ lots of practice questionsOverall this is great choice if you looking to shake yourself up and god damn conquer this exam! We need to do right decisions in our life and be responsible for your choices.
My goal is to become a speech-language pathologist who helps diverse clients of all ages address communicative disorders. So, my Graduate Program required High GRE score.Well, I should say, I usually don’t feel comfortable with test- format exams, therefore, I started my prep ahead.Believe me, I’ve tried a lot of GRE prep books, even took some tutoring classes.This guide I like the most. It has a good reviews and it can prepare you for exactly what you should expect on the test. This book comes with 3 complete real test (two are in the book and one you can practice online )Here is why I like this test prep:• clear explanations and great studying tips• online system as great tool for extra knowledge. Include not only practice test but video explanations• a couple times I use online support - which works good! You can message them any questions and easily receive the answers!Overall, the more we practice- the easier it becomes on real exam! Definitely recommend this Prep book!
I got my bachelors degree 10 years ago. I am looking into go back to school for my MBA. I purchased this book because of the average reviews. I am disappointed that I found several typos and errors in problem explanations. As for the vocabulary, the words that I struggled with/did not know in sample problems or in the practice tests weren’t even in the vocabulary section in the back of the book! I found several problems that just did not make sense and after reviewing online or with my colleagues, I leaned that my answers were correct and the book was wrong ! I took a practice test today and decided to push my test back to give myself time to get another study book and prepare. I did give this two stars because I feel that somebody who is fresh out of school may not need the detailed explanations and this book may be beneficial to explain the test layout and give tips. For somebody jumping back into studying and trying to pull all of the math concepts out from the depths of their memory, it’s probably not a good fit.
That’s a very good GRE Prep book, has over 335 pages. It has a lot of practice questions which can prepare you for exactly what you should expect on the test.I liked all of the different sections and tests.I’m actually very impressed.Recommend you to use this book if you are looking for a high score.So happy I bought this book and didn't spend hundreds somewhere in store.
First I would like to say I loved the extremely fast shipping. I received this in a day, although I wasn't expecting it until another day or so. I love the look of the book, "yes im a visual person" and I love how the book feels in my hands. Its weird, but I hate touching things that are super shiny. Besides the look of the book, I really enjoy how it is laid out and how every section is broken down and I even enjoyed reading the explanation at the beginning of the book discussing what a GRE is, and the different types and how to schedule the GRE.I have just completed one of the practice tests, as the book recommends when you read the intro, and by looking through it I can almost guarantee it will help me on my test in about a month or so. I also really love the fact that purchasing the book grants you access to their online learning page as well. I am giving this 5 stars
Many of the pages were cutoff and couldn’t see the vocab descriptions etc in full.Quite disappointed..
The quantitative reasoning coaching in this book is all over the place. They give you a primer, then a few sections explaining what kind of questions to expect, but none that are actually relevant. My math score improved 2 points, and I studied an hour a day, and ended up supplementing with other resources.
I ordered this book about 3 months before my scheduled GRE date. I spent the first month reading through the book, understanding and learning about the different question types I would encounter. I took a diagnostic test on the ETS website to get an idea of where I stood in relation to my goal scores before I started to practice questions from the book. The book breaks down each question type and gives you examples as well as a practice set at the end of each chapter. I found that using a flashcard apps in addition to the materials were helpful when it came to studying vocabulary on the go. The website features allow you to practice quizzes for each section with a timer to help you manage time effectively, even better they provide video explanations for each question. Within 4 weeks (I work full 40-45 hours a week) I have boosted my score by 11 points. After you take a full length test you can find video explanations for each question from each of the sections within the practice exam. It notes your start and end time as well, so as you go along you can track your progress. Overall I would recommend this book, for the access and features that come outside of the book i would say it practically paid for itself. I also like that it is not such a thick book, it gets to the point in a clear and cohesive way.
